Welcome to my somewhat morbid, sadistic yet controversial blog page. This is my inital posting. Yet don't despair !. Over the next few months, i will be providing you with much to think about in terms of your death! How nice for you. I want to blog something which was not merely relevant to myself. To people of my age group, or to a niche audience. Rather i want us to explore and debate an issue relevant too all people and all religions, a topic fastly approaching us all ..... Death ! Death is one of the greatest mysteries of all and consequently, many fear its inescapable grip. It is without doubt a universial phenomena with unkwown variables. Death, like taxes is unavoidable, and since we have never died before, we don't know what to exspect
Overcoming the fear of Death
What intrigues us about death is that its scary. The images that it conjures up such as the grim reaper, graveyards and so on personify death and make it distasteful to man. Yet many people will claim that they fear death and dying. But why? And how can this be overcome?.
Numerous websites claim that they can help people overcome this fear of death. (http://www.changethatsrightnow.com/fear-of-death/asp) Offering a life time guarantee, and a success rate of 100%, the CTRN (change thats right now)a non-religious organisation, does not use hypnosis, but rather trains the unconcious mind to feel safe and teaching it to respond appropiately, in a sense cultivating positive minds.
Other sites (http://www.wikihow.com/overcomethefearofdeath.com ) also approach the fear of death as a condition often terming it as 'thantaphobia'. Once this idea is established, such sites do well in 'cashing in' on the 'death race'. Providing home study CD programs and working largely through telephone conversations with their so-called 'patients', these sites become the death industry!
Fair enough this phobia may cause countless people restless distress but i urge
Is it not ethically and morally wrong to make money out of ones fears? especially the fear of death?
This is why i have set up this blog to question this fear of death, its origions, existence and even future! To explore who is responsible? and probably conciously or unconciously altering the readers fears of the life herafter and the dreaded unknown.
